The Provincial Government recently announced the launch of the 2018 National Youth Sports Summer and Winter Camps (Hunan Section) program. Several camps will feature local cultural practices for kids and teenagers from 13 cities and 1 prefecture. There will be more than 30 different sports available to cultivate teenager awareness of healthy lifestyle.

Summer Camps last till September 30. Winter Camps begin in early November and end on December 31. Activities include: team sports such as football, basketball, and volleyball for all levels; basic sports such as track and field, and swimming; traditional national sports like martial arts and dragon boating; Hunan competitive sports; and new and special featured sports.

There are three categories of Winter and Summer Camps: fully-funded, partially-funded, and self-funded camps. At fully-funded camps, participants will not be charged fees. Partially-funded camps will focus on public welfare events. Fees are to be lower than the average price of the sports training in the market. Non-subsidized sports projects announced on the internet from the Winter and Summer Camp platform should give preference to young people.
