Lu Yuechen, an elementary school student in Changsha, is among the first batch invited to visit Hunan Aviation Pavilion. After his visit in late May, he said excitedly, “we are so happy to see various planes including helicopters, war crafts, unmanned scouts, strike aircrafts and annihilation aircrafts as well as weapons for prevention and control like radar, surface-to-air missile (SAM) and antiaircraft artillery on the display ground.”

Hunan Aviation Pavilion, as the first museum with the aim of aviation science popularization in central China, will be officially open in July.

Located in Hunan Aeronautical Vocational and Technical College, the pavilion covers a total area of 8,000 square meters with 3 floors. The first floor serves as the exhibition area for military aviation, the second floor for civil aviation and third one for the integration of production and education of aviation. According to Zhou Wangping, principal of Hunan Aviation Pavilion, at present the construction of the pavilion has almost completed, and it includes exhibition area as well as experience area.

It is learnt that Hunan Aeronautical Vocational and Technical College has injected much capital and manpower resources to build the pavilion in an attempt to open up a new popular science base for Hunan teenagers via making full use of its current equipment resources and professional talent teams.
