The Year of Changsha, part of Culture City of East Asia 2017, concluded with an art performance at the Meixihu International Culture & Arts Center Grand Theatre on December 21.

The theme was “Unforgettable Changsha”. The performances included songs and dances featured Huxiang culture, and programs staged by Japanese and South Korean troupes.

Changsha, together with Kyoto, and Daegu, was designated “Culture City of East Asia” of this year. From this April, Changsha launched more than 20 events, including China-Japan-South Korea cultural, music, painting and calligraphy exchange activities, and Xiangjiang International Music Festival.

Beyond that, Changsha delegation participated in various cultural activities and celebrations held in Kyoto and Daegu. Changsha signed cultural communication and cooperation agreements with the two cities, and conducted more than 30 mutual visits of over 800 delegates.

The cultural exchange activities enhanced Changsha’s international standards, and promoted charming Changsha to the world.
