The events of 22nd Francophonie Festival in Changsha kicked off on March 12, 2017.The Festival is supposed to simultaneously take place from March 8 to 28 in over 20 cities across China.
The events in Changsha this year will feature cultural programs and art activities, especially “RESIDENCE FOR YOUNG FRENCH AND CHINESE PASTRY CHEFS”. Young professional pastry chefs from France, Switzerland, Belgium, Maghreb, Quebec and China will explore a creative culinary journey in search of Francophone delicacies.
20 young Francophone pastry chefs in residence at the Jinsong Vocational College (Beijing) and the School of the Good Life (Changsha) will have the chance to share their expertise. They will be guided by the very best Francophone professionals. The general public will be invited to go in search of Francophone flavors in order to win a large number of ‘goodies’, as well as a gastronomic trip to some of the finest pastry-making schools. Finally, the pastry chefs will host television programs and share their passion while initiating fans to the tastes and culinary cultures of Francophone countries.
RESIDENCE FOR YOUNG FRENCH AND CHINESE PASTRY CHEFS is underway from March 13 to 19 at Good Life - French gastronomy School in Changsha.
Besides Pivot Dictation, Francophone Cinema Festival, and Mars en Folie, the Festival will introduce culture of French-speaking countries across the world, to promote the beauty of the French language.
At the opening ceremony, martial artist Luc Bendza from Africa’s Gabon also staged a martial show on site.
