Executive Vice Governor Inspects Yueyang, Highlights Petrochemical Industry

On November 5, Xie Jianhui, CPC Hunan Provincial Standing Committee member and executive vice governor, inspected key tax-paying enterprises in Yueyang.
Executive vice governor Xie visited Yueyang Baling Petrochemical Co., Ltd. and Changling Refinery & Chemical Co., Ltd and learned about their production and operation, product innovation, key projects. She listened closely to the companies’ opinions and suggestions. 
Xie thanked Baling Petrochemical, and Changling Refinery and Chemical for their contribution to Hunan's economic and social development. She pointed out that the petrochemical industry and its products are closely related to people’s production and life. It is an important support for Hunan's stable economic growth, port industry layout, and industrial transformation and upgrading. She added, “We must thoroughly study and implement President Xi Jinping’s important speech made at a symposium on promoting the development of the Yangtze River economic belt and the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, in order to promote the petrochemical industry as a bounden duty and a top priority.”
Xie requested that Baling Petrochemical, and Changling Refinery and Chemical Company should speed up the construction of major projects, win support from their parent companies, and strive to be model enterprises stable growth. The two companies must give priority to ecology and green development, focus on rectifying environmental problems, and act as model enterprises for green development. It is necessary to accelerate innovations in technology, management, and concepts, so as to be a model for innovation and development. It is necessary to firmly hold the red line of production safety and implement the production safety responsibility system. A working mechanism coordinated by city-level authorities, supported by the provincial government, and participated by enterprises should be created for the high-quality development of the petrochemical industry.
