Hunan, Tibet Hold Symposium in Changsha

On December 1, Lobsang Jamcan, CPC Tibet Autonomous Region Committee deputy secretary and Tibet Autonomous Regional People's Congress Standing Committee director, led a party and government delegation to pay a return visit to Hunan. On December 3, a symposium on information exchange between Hunan and Tibet was held in Changsha to discuss ways of deepening mutual communication and cooperation. Du Jiahao, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee secretary; and Xu Dazhe, CPC Hunan Provincial Committee deputy secretary and Hunan governor, attended the meeting.
 
Secretary Du welcomed the guests. He said, “We will study and practise President Xi Jinping’s important ideas on frontier stability and Tibet prosperity, and always unite with, fight together, and be happy with the people of Shannan City, Tibet.” He continued, “We will further support the well-off demonstration village construction on the border area, and promote the Tibet people's livelihood. We will enhance the industrial aid strength to Tibet, and continue to do a good job in sending cadres in rotation and the work on Tibetan cadres training in Hunan.” “This will make due contributions to the long-term development and stability of Tibet in the new era,” Du added.
 
Tibet director thanked Hunan for its special support to Tibet for a long time. He hoped that Hunan would keep on helping Tibet in poverty alleviation, education and employment, ecological protection, the people's livelihood improvement, and industrial advancement.
 
Governor Xu Dazhe; and Xu Chengcang, Tibet Autonomous Regional People’s Congress Standing Committee deputy director and CPC Shannan Municipal Committee secretary, respectively introduced the economic and social development of Hunan and Tibet, and the progress on aiding to Tibet.
