Vice Governor He Meets Kazakhstan, Russian, Brazilian Guests

On November 5, Hunan Vice Governor He Baoxiang met in Shanghai with Kanat Kalievich Alpysbayev, chairman of the Board of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy; Viacheslav Valentik, CEO of JSC RZD Logistics (RZDL); and, vice president of the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo (FIESP). They came to China for the China International Import Expo (CIIE). 
Vice Governor He introduced Hunan’s social and economic development. He marked that Hunan boasts beautiful natural scenery, long history and profound culture, solid industrial foundation, and favorable geographic location. The traditional industries such as engineering machinery and rail transport maintain a sound and stable development. A batch of emerging industries, including electronic information, biological medicine, and new energy automobile, grow in full swing. Hunan’s comprehensive competitiveness in science and technology is top-notch in China. 
In line with the development blueprint of the Central Government, Hunan practices the innovation-oriented opening up and development strategy; exerts the advantages of “Belt and Zone” orientation; and, responds to the national “Belt and Road” Initiative. It is striving to accelerate opening-up and province strengthening, and create good investment environment. 
The Hunan-Europe Express, opened in October 2014, connects Hunan with the “Belt and Road” countries including Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, and Poland, he added. Great cooperation potential exists between Hunan and Kazakhstan, Russia, and Brazil. Hunan expects to expand exchanges and cooperation in the fields of infrastructure construction, railway transportation, and rail transit, and intensify economic and trade ties, in order to achieve win-win results.
