Four Hunan Enterprises Listed as 2018 Top-50 Global Construction Machinery Manufacturers

The 2018 Top-50 Global Construction Machinery Manufacturers were released in Beijing a few days ago. China and Japan tied for the first place in the number of enterprises, with 12 on the list respectively; there were 6 US enterprises and 5 German companies.

 

Hunan’s four enterprises made the list. They are Sany Heavy Industry, Zoomlion, China Railway Construction Heavy Industry, and Sunward, accounting for the largest proportion of Chinese enterprises.

The ranking of Hunan enterprises in the world has risen steadily. In 2017, Sany Heavy Industry moved up 4 places to 8th with sales revenue of 5.892 billion USD. Zoomlion maintained its previous year's ranking of 15th with sales revenue of 3.577 billion USD. China Railway Construction Heavy Industry entered the list for the first time in 2017. This year, it was nominated again and moved up one place to 33rd. Sunward moved from last year’s 49th to 46th this year.

Changsha is a region with the most complete varieties of construction machinery products and the largest number of well-known enterprises in this regard in the world. Its output of concrete machinery accounts for 80% of the global total. Its large-diameter full-face hard rock tunnel boring machine accounts for 67% of the global market share. Changsha ranks first nationwide in the output of hoisting machinery and excavator.

The ranking list of the "2018 Top-50 Global Construction Machinery Manufacturers" was made under the guidance of China Construction Machinery Association, was co-announced by the World Construction Machinery Industry Conference Organizing Committee and "China Construction Machinery" magazine. It has been released for 17 consecutive years, and it is a guide for the global construction machinery industry.
