Hunan’s Online Commodity Trade Totals 114 Billion CNY in 2017

The Hunan Administration for Industry and Commerce announced on February 7 that, Hunan’s online commodity trade was very prosperous in 2017. There were 508,037 market entities of online commodity trade, 9,984 more than that in 2016. The total amount of online commodity trade was 114.137 billion CNY, increasing 36.08 billion CNY. Women’s dress, snacks, special local products, daily use articles, and mother and baby products were among the best-selling.

Big data and cloud computing were used to analyze Hunan’s online commodity trade market. The B2C trade between companies and individual customers amounted to 33.689 billion CNY. Women’s dress, snacks, special local products, and daily use articles topped the trading volume rankings, respectively 8.544 billion CNY, 5.06 billion CNY, and 4.285 billion CNY. The C2C trade between individual business and individual customers amounted to 80.272 billion CNY. Daily use articles, mother and baby products, and snacks and special local products were best sold, respectively 11.367 billion CNY, 9.825 billion CNY, and 8.236 billion CNY. The online commodity trade platforms in Hunan reached a total transaction volume of 176 million CNY.

There are 3,084 online commodity trade platforms in Hunan, among which 2,086 are in Changsha, 67.65% of the total. The B2C business are mainly transacted on Tmall and JD.com.
