The National Development and Reform Commission formally approved the construction of the second batch of 30 national e-commerce pilot cities on March 26. Changsha and Zhuzhou were included in the list.
In recent years, the e-commerce industry in Zhuzhou has come into vogue. Besides the apparel e-commerce industrial cluster led by Lusong district, Zhuzhou and the ceramic e-commerce industrial cluster led by Liling, other industries such as cemented carbide, non-ferrous metal and agricultural byproducts joined e-commerce successively.
Presently, more than 25 thousand people are directly or indirectly engaged in apparel e-commerce market in Lusong market cluster of Zhuzhou. Over 100 thousand parcels of goods purchased online are sent around the country daily, and the annual turnover exceeds six billion yuan, accounting for 15% of the total amount of the market.
