Zhuzhou Issues First Batch of Foreigner’s Work Permit Cards

On May 22, 6 foreign teachers including Chahhadi Abderrazzak at the Hunan University of Technology received the “Foreigner's Work Permit of the People’s Republic of China” from the Foreign Experts Management Office of the Zhuzhou Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau. These are the first batch of “Foreigner’s Work Permit” cards issued by Zhuzhou since Hunan implemented the work permit system for foreigners in China. It means that foreigners working in Zhuzhou can apply for the work permit nearby.

Chahhadi Abderrazzak is an English language teacher at the Hunan University of Technology. He comes from Morocco and has been in Zhuzhou for 10 years. He has been married here and settles down now in the city. The “Foreigner's Work Permit” in his hand shows the basic information such as name, gender, nationality, date of issuance, and issuing authority. Work category and work permit number are also on the card. A QR code on the lower right corner of the card can be scanned to get more detailed information about him, including job position, passport number, and the validity period of the work permit.

According to the latest regulations, those high-quality international talents (Class A) applying for the foreigner's work permit in China, enjoy conveniences in making good on the commitments of proof of employment qualifications and the highest degree (education) certificate. Their work permits are also granted with a maximum valid time limit of five years.
