Changsha Launches 2014 China (Changsha) Science and Technology Transformation Fair Focusing on Five Competitive Industries 2014

The 2014 China (Changsha) Transformation & Trade Fair of Science and Technological Achievements was grandly launched in Changsha, a city at the bank of the Xiangjiang River on the morning of October 23.

 

Vice Minister of the Ministry of Science and Technology Cao Jianlin and Vice Governor of Hunan Province Chen Zhaoxiong made speeches, and Secretary of the CPC Changsha Municipal Committee Yi Lianhong delivered welcome address at the fair. Over 300 experts and scholars from about 100 key universities and scientific research institutes in China, over 110 honored guests abroad and over 150 representatives from over 70 investment organizations at home and abroad took part in the collaborative activities among enterprises, universities and research institutes.

 

Themed “Industry-University-Research-Finance Integration & Innovation and Self-employment in Changsha”, this fair gathered 5,241 latest scientific and technological achievements from about 100 universities and scientific research institutes across the country, and collected 395 technical demands, 175 financing demands and 117 talents demands from enterprises.

 

The fair this year has focused on cooperation of achievements for five competitive industries including mobile internet, Beidou Navigation Satellite System, advanced equipment, new material and biological medicine with emerging industries. These cooperative activities will be undertaken by five national parks. In addition, special conferences are expected to be launched for hi-tech industrial development zones to attract investment at the fair. The Changsha National Economic and Technical Development Zone (CNETDZ), centering on strategy transformation of transportation energy, will conduct scientific and technological cooperation in new energy vehicles in an attempt to promote further development of this industry.
